Question: What is your policy on payment?
Since every order is custom manufactured to fit your needs we require a 50% deposit.
Question: How are the orders shipped?
All shipping is FOB our shop in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; however you can take advantage of our volume discount that we get from our freight companies and ship on our account to select locations in Canada and the USA. However, all shipping invoices are due upon receipt and are not allowed the normal net 30 days for payment.
Sherwood Shelving requests that Dealers in British Columbia and Alberta purchase shipping crates which can be loaded quickly and helps protect your order from damage during transport. Pictures of the crate design can be requested from Sherwood Shelving. These crates can be either side lifted or end lifted for ease of loading. Most Dealers have the crate delivered to the main shipping depot in their area and then unload the crate by hand while still at the depot. Even a fully loaded crate can be unloaded by hand in less than 30 minutes and loaded into a vehicle.
The shipping company that Sherwood Shelving uses provides FREE return of the crate On Company Service (OCS) for British Columbia and Alberta Dealers. Dealers located in other Canadian Provinces, Eastern Canada, and the USA will have to consider the cost of returning the crate to Sherwood Shelving and whether this is a viable option. Most Dealers outside of British Columbia and Alberta have their order shipped on a pallet, however there is an increase possibility of damage during transport as compared with shipping in a crate. All damage claims must be followed-up by the Dealer directly with the shipping company and is not the responsibility of Sherwood Shelving.
Question: Are you able to make shelves tht fit into corners?
Yes, we manufacture Corner Shelves with a straight front edge with either flat or 3 mm edge tapes in the following sizes:
• 24” x 24” – 12” deep
• 24” x 24” – 14” deep
• 30” x 30” – 12” deep
• 30” x 30” – 14” deep
• 30” x 30” – 16” deep
Question: How does your price compare to other manufacturing companies?
Sherwood Shelving offers a wide selection of customization and therefore it is not a "cookie cutter" operation. As a natural result of this feature and benefit - to you our customer - the production time is slower since every order is manufactured one at a time. When our prices are compared to other manufacturing companies that offer the same - or similar - scope of service our prices are the same or less!
Question: What is needed to become a dealer?
Go to the main menu and click on "Service We Offer". If you are a current retailer of closet and organization products click on "Dealer Membership." If you are a contractor click on "Contractor Membership." There will be a simple application form that you will be required to fill out. Once this application is received you are on your way to becoming a Dealer or Contractor for the exclusive line of Sherwood Shelving.
Question: What is the processing time on regular orders?
Regular orders are manufactured within 7 business days.
