Protection of Dealer Information
We understand the importance of privacy to our Dealers (including potential Dealers) and visitors to our Web site. For this reason we will not give or sell confidential or Personal Information (as described below) about our Dealers to any third party not affiliated with their transaction, except as required by law or as necessary to provide the service to the Dealer. This web site is controlled and operated by Sherwood Shelving and/or Circle Graphics (the web site development company contracted by Sherwood Shelving to build the framework of the web site.)
We have adopted, as Company policy, the ten personal information privacy principles stated in the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Model Code for the Protection of Personal Information. The ten principles are as follows:
1. Accountability
We have designated an individual who is accountable for the organization’s compliance with the CSA Code.
2. Reason for Information Collection
General Use
We collect and store information about every order we handle so that we can efficiently provide the services demanded by our Dealers. We use information about our Dealers, their orders, and their shipping activity to provide or enhance the services we make available to our Dealers, communicate with our Dealers about additional services they may find of value, establish credit, accomplish the billing function, and comply with government regulations. Although government regulations vary in the many countries to which we provide service, they frequently include the reporting of information to transportation, safety, customs, and other regulatory agencies.
Some of the information collected by Sherwood Shelving is data which relates to an identifiable person (“Personal Information”). Examples of Personal Information are names, addresses, e-mail addresses, credit card numbers and telephone numbers. We never sell information to third parties that could be used to specifically identify an individual Dealer or group of Dealers.
Shipment Information
Information, including Personal Information, provided as part of an order and represents a record of that business transaction and cannot be altered after the transaction is complete. Although we make reasonable efforts to limit access to our facilities and vehicles to authorized personnel, we cannot control access to information once an order has been shipped, therefore we are not responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information that is printed and placed in plain view on a package or letter.
Web Surveys
From time to time, we include survey forms on our Web Site to better understand our Dealers’ needs and to create a web site that responds to their interests. Dealers may opt-out of participating in follow-up surveys. Sherwood Shelving will not disclose survey response information to companies or individuals outside Sherwood Shelving with two exceptions:
Web Site Applications
Users of Sherwood Shelving’s WebStore and other applications on the Sherwood Shelving Web Site that enable the purchase of products and services who choose to use credit cards for payment are required to provide information about themselves and their card. We use this information to establish credit for billing.
IP Addresses
Sherwood Shelving Web Site collects IP addresses for system administration, security, and statistical analysis purposes. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to a computer whenever it is connected to the Internet. We log these addresses and analyze them to understand where requests originate so that we can provide the most efficient service, enhance security, ensure appropriate usage and produce traffic volume statistics.
Links to Other Sites
Sherwood Shelving provides links to external sites as a convenience to the user. The inclusion of any link does not imply Sherwood Shelving’s endorsement of the external site company, its Web site, or the products and services it promotes and sells. Sherwood Shelving is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.

Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies but users can change the setting to refuse cookies or to be alerted when cookies are being sent. 4. Limiting Collection
Users can visit most areas of our Web Site without revealing who they are or providing any information about themselves. However, some of our interactive services require that users identify themselves in order to enable the interactive function. We may ask users to provide some Personal Information in these situations. We will collect personal information only for the purposes stated above unless we receive consent from the individual to collect it for another purpose.
5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention
We will use and disclose an individual’s personal information only for the purposes stated above, unless we have the individual’s consent to using or disclosing it for another purpose. We will only keep personal information about individuals for as long as we need it to fulfill our stated purposes. We retain information, including Personal Information, about Dealers as necessary for business purposes and as required by government regulation. We carefully dispose of records and delete information when retention periods expire.
6. Accuracy
We will maintain all personal information in our possession in as accurate, complete and up-to-date form as is necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used.
7. Safeguards
We will protect all personal information in our possession from unauthorized access or alteration or from inadvertent destruction by security safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. We treat our data as assets that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We employ information security techniques to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access by users inside and outside the company. Access to Dealer information is limited to those employees who have a legitimate business need for that information.
Sherwood Shelving’s website employs generally accepted information security techniques such as firewalls, access control procedures and cryptography to appropriately protect confidential information from unauthorized access.

In the event that the individual demonstrates that the information which we have in our possession is inaccurate or incomplete, we will make any appropriate changes.
10. Challenging
